Luke Vandermillen Jr., our Sr Business Developer, can teach you what financial wellness is, how can we deliver it, and how can we drive new sales using it. He brings on two panelists to discuss how we can help solve the problem of employees struggling financially and help participants get ready for retirement.

What is the purpose of WellCents? It was created to inspire employees to develop financial confidence and remove barriers that prohibit them from making good financial decisions. This matters because employees struggle with prioritizing their current and future financial needs which creates financial stress. This stress distracts employees and negatively impact an employer’s mission and/or bottom-line. Most employees don’t have the resources to access coordinated financial and benefits planning advice. Developing financial confidence across your workforce leads to loyal, happy, and more productive employees.

People like to learn in a very comprehensive way. What are the other aspects of a participant’s financial picture that could potentially cause them stress? What we are doing for our clients is improving their bottom line by creating high financial wellness for the older clients so that they feel more comfortable retiring because companies cannot fire employees based on their age, so it puts that decision in the hands of the participants and letting them choose that path for themselves.

You can stand out and be different by offering financial wellness. Everyone talks about fees, funds, and fiduciaries, but most advisors don’t discuss employee financial wellness with their clients, and it’s about time you start and explain how they can utilize that in their business.
